Project: Design-Build Renovation to commemorate 100-year anniversary, create exterior gathering place for parishioners and replicate building spires and balustrade destroyed in Hurricane of 1938
Features & Benefits:
- Utilized new technology and current design methods to reinforce existing bell tower and add balustrade and spires.
- Created entry plaza to allow for safe gathering of parishioners in an open, well-lit environment
- Restored structural components in front entry façade and provided preservation measures to enhance façade and allow for longevity
- Worked with Church committee to develop and maintain their Design-Build budget
- Unique architectural features included cast-in-place concrete, ornamental iron railings, and custom entrance door with decorative gold leafing and glazing, custom molded GFRC spires and balustrade.
