Project: Interior Renovation
Boston Common Frog Pond Foundation needed to expand existing toilet facilities and modify Pavilion lobby. Work was required to be complete for Mayor of Boston's annual ceremony opening Frog Pond for summer season. Senate Construction Corp. undertook what appeared to be an impossible schedule.
Features & Accomplishments:
- Finishes included ceramic tile, millwork paneling and trim, rubber flooring, new metal frame, drywall partitions, ceilings and paint finishes.
- Completed interior renovations of lobby and rest room facilities, expanding men's and ladies' rooms
- All construction work performed within a four (4) week time frame to allow for official season's opening of City of Boston's central recreation facility on Boston Common
Fast Track Services & Benefits:
- Secured permit and mobilized two (2) weeks after selection of design team
- Field inspection and confirmation of existing conditions to designer during first week of design
- Design-Build of HVAC, plumbing and electrical aspects of project
- Project was value engineered to maximize cost efficiency and minimize construction time
